Meanwhile here is some advice on places to stay which are close to the festival venues.

  • If you would like to offer a room/apartment (for free/ fee/ exchange) or you are looking for a room, feel free to write to our Tango Live Forum , it will be activated in January 2011 or earlier.
  • If you happened to have some positive experience in staying in Vancouver, feel free to recommend us some nice places for accommodations on the Forum or drop us an email with the subject "Where to Stay in Vancouver - Recommended"
  • You are also welcome to post to our Tango Live Vancouver Facebook Group (Discussions application).

Tip: you can google for any address in Vancouver using "google street" feature, that way you can take a look how the locations looks.

It's a very convenient location in terms of TLF venues as well as transport and sightseeing if you choose to stay in East Vancouver. Main street is famous for its artsy places and many restaurants / cafes / clubs as well as shops with trendy and handmade clothes. You can easily get to downtown from Main – Kingsway area by taking the bus #8, #3, #19 (goes to Stanley Park), those buses pass "Main/Science World" Skytrain station (3-5min). #99 B-Line or #9 will take you to the Skytrain "Broadway City Hall" (Canada Line) @ Cambie/Broadway as well as they go to Kitsilano area and UBC.

For Academie Duello there are many hotels in the area depending on what your budget is. Prices range from $60-300 plus.

This hotel is very close to Academie Duello, located very centrally in downtown Vancouver, close to Canada Place, Gastown, Vancouver Art Gallery, shopping streets and malls, Stanley Park. Friendly customer service, decent rooms.
